3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS.
IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY" YOU SAY?
“Dreamin’” – Bobby Darin
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF?
“I Remember Yesterday” – Donna Summer. Heck, that's a bit sad isn't it?
WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL?
“Caravan” – Jack Ambrose Orchestra (1930s). Oh sorry - I thought it said "What do you like a girl in"...
HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
“That’s My Desire” – The Shadows. What do you mean; it's not yours?
WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE?
“Summertime” – Leona Lewis
WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO?
“Loveboat" – Kylie Minogue. (!!!) Oo-er...heck – why limit it to a boat...!
WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
“When Lovers Become Strangers” – Cher. Hey – who are you calling strange?!?
WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU?
“The Little Shoemaker” – Petula Clark. Huh, what a load of cobblers...

WHAT IS YOUR HOBBY/INTEREST?

My PC's Not Well At All...
Alas and alack I'm having one of those periods where inanimate objects are out to get me.
At the moment it's my home PC which has given up the will to play and I've had to restore it - which means all the way back to it's original self something like 5 years ago and it still thinks Wanadoo exists, if not Freeserve...
And can I remember my passwords to set up the Internet again? And all the software? All my data is securely on an external hard drive so no problems with that but I'm coming round to the idea it's not worth spending all this time and grief on a 5 year old machine.
So, readers, the key message is:
Please don't send me any emails to the Freeserve address!
Use instead my second (now only) personal email - bispham2-at-hotmaildott.com. I'm sure you know where to put @ signs and dots!
I'm away from home all next week so not a lot of point trying to sort out stuff this weekend - I might indulge myself and do some music instead!
Just before the PC went bye bye I reconfigured all the music links in the left hand column so they should all be working again now. All links to music on this blog are my own music - ie me playing all instruments and singing all the voices.
The band's music can be found on the band's blog.
Another thought has struck me. The PC demise may well spell the demise of my websites too - if I move away from Orange which I may well do. So these blogs and the Flickr account will have to do!
I'll try to recreate some of the websites as articles on here anyway. It might help me when I'm struggling to think of something!
Sigh, the Aston Martin purchase leaps further away - again!!!

9 inches?!?
I've just had an email from a total stranger with a rather unlikely name.
I'm afraid I didn't even open it before deleting but the subject did make me laugh...
It was: "What is a real man without a 9 inch manhood?"
I would have thought the answer was "totally normal"...

Out of Contact
If anyone's trying to get hold of me then please be aware our phone isn't working. You'll have to try my mobile number.
This also means I can't log into my main email account so please use the Hotmail one - this is linked from my main webpage (see left).
BT allow you to order a test of your phone on their website. Luckily I can access the Internet from my laptop using a 3G card. Anyway once you have said you need a test there is no way to comment on their results and the original form only gives you 500 characters which is hardly anything at all. Anything less would limit you to "my phone is duff" and there's no chance to put any details on.
It also appears that having ordered a test they do one and then close it no matter what.
Eg - "We have to test this number"
"Ok"
"Is it broke?"
"Yes"
"Ok that's the test done then..."
That appears to be what happened to us anyway. Our phone is still dead but our job has been closed. I've reported it again but in 500 characters couldn't exactly make my feelings known... Customer service??? Don't make me laugh!

Shush!!! It's an Emergency Drill!
I had a good laugh this morning when I opened my emails. I received this from Emma-Lou:
"Hi John,The episode she is referring to came during our first ever cruise, onboard the Carousel around the Canaries in March 2004.
Its Emma-Lou, entertainer onboard the Carousel who told you to shush during the drill. Had to laugh outloud when I read that.
Hope you are still cruising. Such a shame Suncruises ceased to be.
Merry Christmas!
Keep Safe
Emma-Lou"
On the first night we were summonsed up to lifeboat stations for an emergency drill and to be given instructions on what to do should someone fall overboard.
"Don't jump in after them!" was the advice, "Throw something they can grab hold of." At this the chap next to me leaned over and whispered:
"I'd throw my wife in..."
As I burst out laughing Emma-Lou, who was in charge of our lifeboat, gave me a stern shushing, after which of course I tried to look duly admonished and penitant. Well... something like that!
We enjoyed the cruise enough to do it again the following year. After 2005 the Carousel was sold off to a French company.

A New Friend
It's always nice to make new friends and receive email and I've had the good fortune to be contacted today by "William". I'll add William's email in red and add my comments along the way...Hi there lovely,
Well "Hi there" to you too, you little charmer!
This kind of opportunity comes ones in aa life.
"ones" presumably means "once" and "aa" - are we talking battery sizes here? (for the benefit of folks across the Atlantic a battery = a cell and an AA battery is the size you would put in a portable CD player) (remember those?)
I don't want to miss it. Do you?
Certainly not - I'm all for getting as much life from my batteries as I can!
I am coming to your place in a few dacys
oh, I love those little French cars! Why do you need more than one though? Do you come as a kit? Pull yourself together!
and I though may be we can meet each other. If you don't mind I can send youb may picbture. I am a girl. Ybou can correspond with me using my email
Well, William, it's all starting to come to pieces at this point and whilst not wishing to appear picky or ungrateful and I certainly don't wish to criticise but I think you may find it useful to fish out that bit of chewing gum from the side of the "b" key on your keyboard... Now William, I need a little more information at this point because when you say "I am a girl", does that mean that operation? I know they can do wonderful things these days - a quick snip here... a quick snip there... and Bob's your auntie, but there's a little niggle making me wonder whether you are really all that you are making yourself out to be...?
